About That Social Work Lady, LLC

That Social Work Lady, LLC was born from a vision of healing communities where caregivers, professionals, and families—especially within Black and BIPOC communities—no longer bear the weight alone.

We are committed to healing the healer and restoring the resilient. We center the lived experiences of Black and Brown families, offering therapy, coaching, and clinical supervision rooted in cultural humility, emotional safety, and radical self-compassion.

Our Vision

We see a future where trauma-informed practices create spaces for collective healing. Where burnout is met with community connection, leadership is restored through narrative reclamation and mindful presence, and everyone has access to empowering, restorative support rooted in identity, justice, and dignity.

That Social Work Lady

"This is a practice dedicated to 'Healing the Helper.' Whether you are a caregiver, parent, social worker, teacher, healthcare professional, minister, firefighter, or community organizer—you’ve found a space created just for you."

You’ve spent years pouring your heart into supporting others while putting your own needs on hold. You’ve given so much—now it’s your turn to receive care, support, and space to heal. Together, we’ll rediscover your strength and resilience, creating a sustainable path forward where you can thrive while continuing to help others.

Meet The Lady

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience helping adults and teens navigate healing, growth, and transformation. I am also an approved School Social Worker, certified member of the Academy of Clinical Social Workers, member of National Association of Social Workers and Michigan Association of School Social Workers. My passion is helping helpers reconnect with their purpose without burning out.

My Approach

We practice radical care through trauma-informed therapy, supervision, coaching, and advocacy. Our foundation rests on culturally responsive treatment using evidence-based modalities including:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - Practical tools for managing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors

Narrative Therapy - Reclaiming your story and separating problems from identity

Mindfulness - Present-moment awareness for healing and resilience

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - Values-based living and psychological flexibility
